The process of creating our bespoke product begins in Northern India, where Indian artisans have been carrying out metal work since 3000 BC. In an age where modern technology and its relationship to labour are making vast strides, it is important to support the local artisans and help keep the traditions of their ancestors alive and maintain production of local hand crafted items.
Our products are produced using recycled copper, are reusable and recyclable. Making it eco- friendly allowing a harmonious relationship between ourselves and nature.
The recycled copper is melted down, pressed into sheets, subsequently cut into the shape of circle discs. Then these discs are taken and placed on a spinning lathe and then hand spun into the shape of bottles, cups and tanks.
After the spinning process has taken place and the shape of the item is finalised, they are sent to the engravers for the engraving of the sacred geometry and positive affirmations (mantra’s).
Now the item is sent to the welder to weld on the pure silver bezels that hold the gems onto the copper. After this has been completed the items are now in the possession of the jeweller so he can begin his process of hand setting each healing stone into place by wrapping the elevated collar of the pure silver bezel around the stones.
When the jeweller has finished his part, then the goods are sent for lacquering on the outside of the product so that it will not tarnish as copper is a reactive metal that oxidises, so that it maintains its beauty of the first day of receiving the item. Giving us a luxury item, meaning that physical and mental well being never looked so beautiful.

What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is a system of medicine that originates from India, based on the principles of balancing the systems within the body. The term ‘Ayurveda’ originates from the Sanskrit word ‘Ayur’ meaning life and ‘Veda’ meaning knowledge. Ayurveda takes a holistic approach to healing and acknowledges the connection between body and mind, however, nothing has more power to heal than the mind. Although at depth Ayurveda is very comprehensive, at its basic level it is very comprehensible.
Ayurveda works on the basis that every human being is comprised and made out of a combination of the following five elements, which are; Earth, Wind, Fire, Water and Space (Ether). As individuals our make up is comprised of a unique balance of these elements. Within this, we can be categorised into three different categories, which are otherwise known as the ‘Doshas’.
These Doshas are known as ‘Vata’, ‘Kapha’ and ‘Pitta’, and each is comprised of two elements.
Vata = Air + Ether
Kapha = Earth + Water
Pitta = Fire + Water
All of the elements contain within them various qualities and also govern various aspects of the body and mind. For example, Vata has the quality of movement and governs this aspect within the entire body, whereas Pitta has the quality of transformation and relates to transformative processes such as digestion. Finally, Kapha provides stability and structure and relates to the various tissues in the body such as muscle, skin and fat.
Ayurveda recognises that every individual is different and therefore requires individual medical guidance based on the Dosha constitution. Ayurveda says that copper can help balance all three Doshas through it’s beneficial properties.
Are the health benefits of copper scientifically proven?
Copper has been proven to kill bacteria that comes into contact with it and is now being considered for use in hospitals instead of stainless steel fittings and door handles.

How do the do the gemstones (meditation stones) on the vessel work?
Each gemstone resonates with a particular emotion. We placed the gemstones on the copper vessel so you could use it as a tool re-centre yourself. For example, the purple stone amethyst, resonates and amplifies mental clarity. The mantra we follow when we use the vessels is Touch it, Think it, Drink it. Touch the gemstone that resonates with the emotion you want to feel. Cultivate that emotion within you and hold that intention. Then drink the water.
What do the geometric patterns symbolise?
The geometric symbols that we use are so special because they depict the architecture of everything that surrounds you in life, from the human body to the constellation of the galaxies. The flower of life pattern, which is found on our balance bottles and tanks, depicts the pattern of creation of all natural things.
Similarly to mantras, sacred geometrical symbols have a powerful effect on meditative practices when visualised within the mind during meditation.
The engravings on each copper water have different geometric patterns and signify different mathematical and philosophical aspects of nature. Please check out our shop to see all of the different designs we offer!
What are mantras?
A mantra is a mediational tool, a numinous sound, syllable, word or phonemes, or group of words in Sanskrit believed by practitioners to have psychological and spiritual benefits. Copper has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years and this use has been recorded in some of the earliest records available.
Copper contributes to a wide range of essential processes within the body. It is not naturally produced by the body naturally and therefore needs to be consumed from external food sources. In order to live a healthy balanced life it is imperative that we include it in our daily diet, as it is used up daily in our bodily processes.

Can I get too much copper?
As with nearly all vitamins and minerals, it is of course possible to have an excess amount of copper which will have an adverse effect on the body.
The Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for adult men and women is 900 μg/day. The median intake of copper from food is approximately 1.0 to 1.6 mg/day for adult men and women.
Our vessels have been UK tested and have shown to be 0.01mgL over 8 hours which is well below the RDA of copper and the copper water is a very safe amount to consume daily.
Can drinking from copper vessel cure my copper deficiency?
Our vessels are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Use of our vessel will provide supplementary support however it is strongly recommended that you seek professional medical advice and speak with your doctor about this.
Does storing the water in copper change the taste of the water?
This is a very subjective matter. Many of our customers have reported to us that they have found the water to have a sweeter taste and thinner texture. Some customers have not reported any difference.
Do I need to do anything with my vessel before using it for the first time?
Before using our copper vessel for the first time, please remember to rinse the inside of the vessel thoroughly with water before use, please avoid using any detergents or chemicals to clean this product.
How do I use my copper vessel?
The most efficient way to reap the benefits of this practice that dates back thousands of years is to fill your Ayurvedic My Copper Cup vessel with water at night, leave the water in there for 8 hours which will allow the copper ion extraction that is required, then consume the water first thing on an empty stomach in the morning, incorporate this into your daily routine.
UK testing of our copper has shown that after 8 hours of storage in our vessels, the water will contain 0.01mg/L of copper. This will allow the copper ions to be extracted into the water, which is known as the Oligodynamic Effect, thus allowing the water to eliminate harmful microbes, fungi and bacteria.
Although there are numerous health benefits that are associated with the consumption of copper water, you do not need to drink copper water all day long that has gone through the full process of 8 hours of extraction. Carry out this process once a day in the morning. You are free to use your bottle throughout the day as it is not going through the 8 hours of storage phase, as you will be drinking from it regularly and refilling it constantly, this is not harmful. It will keep your water fresh and free of bacteria.
What type of water shall I store in my copper vessel?
Tap water is the most accessible water to most of us and this type of water is fine to use in our vessels however if you wish to filtered water before storing it in our vessels, this will substantially improve the quality of the water. You can also drink mineral water from the copper vessel.
What other liquids can I consume from my copper vessel?
It is not recommended to use anything else other than plain water, this is due to the fact that copper is highly reactive with any acids. Acids like lemon or some fruits may be used to clean the copper but you must not drink out of that water.
How do I clean my copper vessel?
To clean your copper vessel we do not advise using any detergents or chemicals. Simply apply lemon juice to the inside of the vessel, fill with warm water and let it sit for at least 15 mins so that the natural acidity of the lemon can be applied to all parts of the inside. Then discard this water and rinse the inside thoroughly so there is no lemon residue left. Once this process has been completed, the inside of your copper vessel is clean and safe to use.
If you wish to clean the outside of your copper vessel, do so using water and the soft side of the sponge so it does not scratch the protective coating that has been applied.
How do I keep the lid opening and clothing smoothly.
To maintain the free opening of the bottle lid, apply any edible oil to the thread. This will ensure that the lid mechanism opens and closes freely. Please take care when opening and closing the copper. Copper is a soft metal and if excess pressure is applied to the wrong part of the thread the lid can jam. Lubricating the lid will also help with this.
